Lucky Break is an innovative consulting + creative agency which arms + empowers makers with the tools they need to build empires. The Get Lucky Live! event series takes our team on the road to deliver personalized, one-on-one mentoring + small group workshops for creative entrepreneurs.
When it comes to teaching you how to build an empire, Lela Barker has a simple philosophy: beneath every successful maker is a solid business foundation.
As the founder of Bella Lucce, an award-winning international beauty brand distributed through 1,200 spas in 27 countries and the mind behind Lucky Break Consulting, Lela is wildly passionate about helping creative entrepreneurs bring their products into the marketplace.
One client recently christened Lela “the Mother Theresa of Makers” while another described her “as the best business decision I’ve ever made.”
Lela’s products and personal story have been featured in more than fifty publications worldwide and her “Secrets to Wholesale Success” program has sold out within days each time registration opens.
When not arming makers with tactical business approaches, you’ll find her collecting passport stamps, perfecting the ultimate lemon meringue pie and clinging tightly to her sanity while raising four children.
As designer and owner of Unurth, Jenn Romero designs organic and playfully elegant ceramic pieces that often catch the eye of major retailers and bloggers. She believes that objects are infused with meaning and that good design addresses not just technical, but emotional needs as well. Her passion for hand crafted, American made, and an intimate design process fuels her entrepreneurial spirit.
Armed with a BFA in product design from Otis College of Art + Design, one of LA’s premier art schools, she strategically bootstrapped the Unurth brand while working fulltime as a commercial product and graphic designer in the toy industry.
In 2013, she struck out on her own and joined forces with Lela Barker and Lucky Break, lending her unique perspective as a commercial designer and hand maker to the bustling young consulting company. Jenn is passionate about helping others pave their own path!
When she’s not elbow-deep in clay or helping other makers build their dreams, you’ll find her boarding down a snow-covered mountain or adventuring up the California coast.
Elea lends her talent to the magic of creative storytelling through visual identities, packaging, art direction and photo styling in her studio, Elea Lutz Design. Prior to launching her studio, Elea created a line of toiletries and lifestyle products from the ground floor under her Nostalgia brand. The collections playful packaging and high quality ingredients captured the hearts of fans around the globe, landing the brand in highly-coveted stores, such as Urban Outfitters and Beauty Habit.
When not dreaming and designing, Elea can be found roaming antique markets, chasing travel adventures and playing with her two little boys.
